Stormi Ence- Midwife, CPM, LDEM

I was born and raised in Southern Utah, and am currently located in La Verkin. I began my education at SUU in 2014 with plans to become a Labor and Delivery nurse. I had my first of 4 children in 2016 and realized hospital birth did not align with my desires. In 2018 I had my first home birth and it was life changing for me. I knew it was something I needed to be involved in and started thinking about school again. That same year I completed my Associate's of Science degree with an emphasis on Human Biology and Nutrition. I felt called to midwifery specifically for a few years and wasn't sure how I could manage it with being a young mother. After having my 4th baby I felt I could finally take the first step into becoming a midwife and have been blessed to have found a balance between motherhood and midwifery. I began training as a midwife in 2022 under the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) PEP program. I apprenticed under 2 local CPM, LDEMs. I am now a Certified Profession Midwife and Licensed Direct Entry Midwife. I have certifications in Advanced Fetal Monitoring, Phlebotomy, Pharmacology, Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation, BLS and CPR. I continue to add to my certifications and education consistently. I absolutely love being part of bringing new souls into the world!
