Meet Stormi

I was born and raised in Southern Utah, and am currently located in La Verkin. I began my education at SUU in 2014 with plans to become a Labor and Delivery nurse. I had my first of 4 children in 2016 and realized hospital birth did not align with my desires. In 2018 I had my first home birth and it was life changing for me. I knew it was something I needed to be involved in and started thinking about school again. That same year I completed my Associate's of Science degree with an emphasis on Human Biology and Nutrition. I felt called to midwifery specifically for a few years and wasn't sure how I could manage it with being a young mother. After having my 4th baby I felt I could finally take the first step into becoming a midwife and have been blessed to have found a balance between motherhood and midwifery. I began training as a midwife in 2022 under the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) PEP program. I apprenticed under 2 local CPM, LDEMs. I currently practice as a Direct Entry Midwife with plans to practice as a Certified Professional Midwife, Licensed Direct Entry Midwife in the near future. I have certifications in Advanced Fetal Monitoring, Phlebotomy, Pharmacology, Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation, and CPR. I continue to add to my certifications and education consistently. I absolutely love being part of bringing new souls into the world!

Birth Philosophy

Why I believe in Home Birth

I believe that birth is a spiritual and natural process that is meant to be experienced. Feeling the sensations of natural labor and childbirth are an amazing part of a woman's transformation into a mother. Mother and baby work together to deliver baby out of the womb and into loving arms. I believe this is best achieved in an environment where a mother can feel comfortable and safe. Where she has the privacy she needs and the support of those whom she has chosen to be with her. Home birth is a very safe option for low risk mothers who have a trained birth attendant.

My goal is to provide women with the knowledge and resources they need to have the healthiest and best birth outcomes. I help my clients to be informed on all sides of the many decisions parents face regarding pregnancy, birth and with raising children. I support them in their decisions as they do what they believe to be the best choices for their baby and family. Ultimately my job is to keep mother and baby safe and healthy, while providing full informed consent.
